Statement on CISA-2024-0603 Detecting and Preventing Unauthorized User Access for Snowflake Customers#

Information#
On June 2, Snowflake indicated a recent increase in cyber threat activity targeting customer accounts on its cloud data platform. Snowflake issued a recommendation for users to query for unusual activity and conduct further analysis to prevent unauthorized user access.

Response#
Melissa Data Corporation (“Melissa”) was not impacted by the cyber threat activity affecting various Snowflake customer accounts. Melissa does not utilize any Snowflake products for any Melissa commercial web services or products.
As a precaution, Melissa has blocked over 200 IP addresses reported by Snowflake and we will continue to follow guidance provided by Snowflake and CISA as necessary to prevent any future risks.
