FedRAMP-Authorized Cloud APIs#

Melissa’s cloud APIs are available in a FedRAMP-authorized environment. FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) is a United States government framework that standardizes security requirements for cloud services. By operating within a FedRAMP-authorized environment, these services adhere to federal standards for security and compliance needed by U.S. federal agencies and government contractors. The APIs provide the same core functionality as our standard public cloud offerings, with additional safeguards to support compliance needs.

Available Services#

The following services are currently available in the FedRAMP environment:

  • Global Address Verification: Validates and standardizes mailing addresses in more than 240 countries and territories while enriching the data with parsed components and geographic coordinates.

  • Global Express Entry: Provides real-time address completion by returning verified address suggestions as the user types.

  • SmartMover: Validates and standardizes U.S. and Canadian addresses, detects moves, and returns forwarding address information when available.

Common FAQs#

How do I request access?#

Contact our sales or support team to begin the access process. Once approved, we’ll provide the required URLs and any setup instructions.

Do I need to make code changes to use these APIs?#

In most cases, only the URL needs to be updated. The request and response formats are consistent with our standard public cloud APIs, and your existing license key will continue to work.

How do the FedRAMP services differ from the standard public cloud offerings?#

The FedRAMP environment is designed to meet U.S. government security compliance requirements and undergoes continuous monitoring and third-party assessments. Functionality remains aligned with our public cloud APIs, but with additional security controls in place.

Should I expect the same performance as the standard public cloud APIs?#

Due to the security requirements and infrastructure used in the FedRAMP environment, performance may differ slightly from the public cloud. If you have specific performance needs, our team can work with you to evaluate and optimize your integration.
