Quickstart#

Introduction#

Native App Global Address Verification: Snowflake powered by Global Address Verification Cloud API can verify and standardize mailing addresses from across the world with the flexibility and accuracy delivered by Melissa products.

Native App Global Address Verification: Snowflake can be used on Snowflake platform to:

  • Verify, Correct, & Standardize addresses from 240+ countries & territories.

  • Append latitude & longitude.

  • Return address as parsed components.

  • Return address in mailing label format according to the standards of each country.

  • Append additional information like unique identifier, delivery indicator, & more depending on the country.

  • Standardized addresses with extended and UTF-8 characters will return responses with the proper UTF-8 / accented characters.

Requirements#

A Snowflake account that is eligible for the External Access Integration feature.

Native App Installation#

Step-by-step to install Native App Global Address Verification for Snowflake:

Get the Native App from Snowflake Marketplace#

  1. Login to your Snowflake account.

  2. Get the Native App by using this direct link. or manually typing “Global Address Verification” in Snowflake Marketplace.

  3. Select Get.

  4. When the app is installed successfully, you can access the app from the left panel of your Snowflake account » Data Products » Apps.

Application Configuration#

  • Latest Version
  • 3.12.3.0 Version and Earlier

Upon the completion of the app installation, follow the steps below to approve the network access to Melissa API endpoint using Snowsight.

  1. Sign in to Snowsight.

  2. In the navigation menu, select Catalog » Apps.

  3. Select the app.

  4. Select the Settings icon in the toolbar.

  5. Select Connections.

  6. Next to the connection you want to approve, expand Review.

  7. Snowsight displays the external access integrations, network rules, and requested endpoints for the app.

  8. Approve or deny the requested endpoints:

    • To approve the endpoints, select , then select Approve.

    • To deny the endpoints, select , then select Deny.

You also can view and approve the app specifications using SQL commands.

2-Step Configuration

Step 1 - Melissa Connection Configuration

  1. Click open the app.

  2. In the toolbar, select Settings » Connections » Review.

  3. Select Advanced Options » Where do you want to store the network rule?.

    Choose the database, schema that your role has the access control privileges. The new connection will be installed here.

  4. Select Connect.

  5. When the connection is created successfully, “Connection Required!” warning will be replaced by our front page.

Alternatively, follow the instruction on Snowflake interface to connect to our API endpoints.

Step 2 - Application Configuration

  1. Select Application Configuration on the left sidebar of the Menu.

  2. Select Install. All the necessary stored procedures will be installed in the application.

  3. A successful message will be on display “Complete initial setup successfully.

When the installation is complete, you can explore on the left sidebar for the app’s features we have to offer.

If you have already completed this step, the Application Configuration page will display a corresponding message.

Try It Now#

Verification Form#

  1. In the Native App, select Menu » Verify Single Address » Try It Now » Start Verifying

  2. Enter the license key and address you want to verify.

  3. Select Verify.

  4. Result will be displayed on the left sidebar.
